Over the past 50 years, the members have provided exemplary service and financial support for the speech and hearing impaired children in our community. Through the vision of a few women in the late 1950's, a strong, caring organization was built. There have been tens of thousands of volunteer hours given and dollars raised to carry out the mission. We will celebrate these successes all year long and for many years to come. Thanks to our founders, 2010 will be a rewarding year!
The Charity League, Inc. is a non-profit service organization comprised of compassionate, service-oriented women in Birmingham committed to serving the hearing and speech impaired children of Alabama through both volunteer hours and financial support. Since its formation in 1959, The Charity League has succeeded in providing over 200,000 volunteer hours and has raised in excess of $2.5 million for various worthwhile endeavors. 100% of all proceeds are used to benefit the special children it serves.
